Robert Lewis Memorial Fund

Rob Lewis, 39, of Effingham, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at his home.

Rob was born on June 10, 1981, in Effingham, the son of Jon and Lori (Miller) Lewis. He married Stacey Baker on June 23, 2007, and to this union, two children were born, Mackenzie and Braxton.

Rob was the facility manager at Patterson Technology Center. He was also a long-time loyal employee at Al's Electronics in Effingham.

First and foremost, Rob was a dedicated father who was actively involved in Mackenzie and Braxton's lives, whether it was being the biggest cheerleader at one of their sporting events or just lending an ear when one of them was thrown one of life's curves. He was a loving son and brother. He spent the last couple of years sharing his life with Jami Sidwell, who he loved dearly. He had a circle of friends and family that he would literally do anything for, and vice versa. He would give you the shirt off of his back and did not know how to say no. Rob will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

He enjoyed being outdoors; whether it be hunting, boating, golfing, riding, or spending time at the cabin. Rob loved sports and was the biggest Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Rob is survived by his daughter, Mackenzie Lewis (Nathan Baxter); son, Braxton Lewis; mother, Lori (Miller) Hess; father, Jon Lewis; siblings, Kylie Rhodes (Duane), Whitney Hess (Jeremy Probst), Courtney (Chris) Sutter, Brad Lewis, Dylan Lewis, Audra Lewis; grandmother, Betty Miller; special friend, Jami Sidwell; mother of his children Stacey Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.

Each year, we will hold a fundraising event that will be themed around one of Rob's favorite activities. All proceeds will be deposited into the memorial fund to support an area athlete or athletic department.

The Rob Lewis Memorial Fund has been established to help keep Rob's legacy alive. So, please help us accomplish this by making a donation.
