100 Women Who Care Richland County

Our Mission

100+ Women Who Care Richland County is a group of philanthropic women dedicated to making a positive impact on Richland County. Members commit to donating $200 annually. The first $50 supports the 100+ Women Who Care Richland County Endowment, a fund of Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation, that will be used to serve future needs for years to come. The remaining $150 is used to support the three nonprofits selected by the members throughout the year ($50 at each meeting).

Why should you become a member?

TOGETHER WE ACCOMPLISH GREAT THINGS – You want to be part of a powerful group that makes a lasting, positive and direct impact on Richland County

CONNECTING – You enjoy meeting other women who care about the local community and causes

You can join at any time! Simply download our membership packet, complete the committment form, and return it (with your dues) to a member of our steering committee or mail it to Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation (PO Box 1211, Effingham, IL 62401)

Nominate (Optional)

Every member has the option of nominating a nonprofit organization for the group to support. If your charity is selected, you will have 5 minutes to present to the group why this charity deserves the group’s support. Only 3 charities will be randomly selected at each meeting.

Members will vote on the 3 charities that were presented. The charity with the most votes is selected as that evening’s grant recipient!

Members will make a $50 donation payable to the selected organization. All donations will be collected at the end of the meeting.

Observe the IMPACT

A check presentation and photo will be at the end of each meeting. Each selected organization will be asked to attend a meeting to present how the donation was/will be utilized to better Richland County.
