Recipients of 2018 Siemer Milling Endowment Youth Leadership Grants announced
The Siemer Milling Company Endowment, a fund of Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation, was established in 2006 for the purpose of providing a permanent source of funding to programs in Effingham County that support the development of young leaders. Since its inception, the Siemer Milling Company Endowment has contributed more than $148,000 to nonprofit organizations serving Effingham County.

Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation is pleased to announce the 2019 recipients of the Ray, Mary, and Tim Niebrugge Scholarship. Scholarships totaling $40,000 have been awarded to 32 students.

Washington Savings Bank contributes to LeAnn Schroeder Hardiek Friendship Endowment
On Friday, October 19 several employees of Washington Savings Bank participated in a “Wear Pink Day” to bring awareness to Breast Cancer for the month of October. Employees participating were encouraged to make a small monetary donation which the bank then matched, raising a grand total of $1,000 to help two local organizations.

The Teutopolis State Bank Fund has granted $1,000 to Teutopolis Lion’s Club to cover a portion of the expenses of Teutopolis youth participating in the Catholic Heart Workcamp.
