Robson Jackson Scholarships awarded to twelve area nursing students
The scholarship was established by Roy Robson and Roma Jackson in memory of their sister, Mary, who was diabetic and required considerable nursing care. Roy and Roma saw firsthand the need for good care and provided a bequest establishing a permanent endowment for nursing scholarships.

LeAnn Schroeder Hardiek was the 30-year old mother of two young boys when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Upon LeAnn’s first diagnosis with breast cancer, the Effingham community rallied their support around her and her two young sons. The generosity towards her sons inspired LeAnn to give back to her community in the same way.
