Grant proposals for CommunityWorks Endowment Fund requested
The Mattoon Area Community Foundation is requesting proposals from nonprofit organizations from within Coles County on behalf of the Communityworks Endowment Fund. Applications for community improvement projects in the areas of workforce development, early childhood education and land use and protection must be submitted to the Mattoon Area Community Foundation before June 30.

Update on BigAl Golf Classic
On August 21st, at Meadowview Golf Course in Mattoon, 144 golfers turned out to remember Michael Alan Fuller II at the 2010 BigAl Golf Classic fundraiser. Ten scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors from Mattoon High School in 2011 because of the success from this year's Golf Classic.
