Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation Common Scholarship Application
The Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation common scholarship application is required in order to apply for the following scholarships:
Captain R. Dean & Mary E. Postlewaite Scholarship
The Captain R. Dean and Mary E. Postlewaite Scholarship provides scholarships to graduating seniors residing in Crawford County, Illinois who have been accepted into the University of Illinois College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences in Urbana-Champaign, as well as students currently enrolled in the College who are from Crawford County.
Croft Brothers Challenge Scholarship
The fund was established to provide financial assistance to students with disabilities graduating from public or private high schools in Effingham County who plan to enroll in a two- or four-year college, university, or technical school.
Delbert E. Facklam and Maradyl T. Hughes Facklam Scholarship
In order to qualify for the Facklam Scholarship, applicants must be a Teutopolis High School graduating senior continuing his or her college education with demonstrated financial need.
Eagle Country Water Works Jasper CEO Scholarship
The Eagle Country Water Works Jasper CEO Scholarship was established to provide educational scholarships to students enrolled in the Jasper County CEO program who will pursue higher education.
Harry L., John L., and Catherine H. Smysor Scholarship
This scholarship is made possible by the generous gift of farm ground from Harry, John, and Catherine Smysor of Windsor, Illinois. The intent of this scholarship is to support students pursing higher education who have demonstrated financial need and have contributed to their community through acts of service. This scholarship is available to Windsor High School seniors and graduates, as well as the dependents of Windsor High School graudates.
Lebovitz Lively Arts Scholarship
Established to provide visual and performing arts scholarships for Mattoon High School students. It is open to current seniors and graduates of Mattoon High School.
Mattoon High School Alumni Scholarship
The Mattoon High School Alumni Scholarship Fund provides assistance for Mattoon High School seniors pursuing higher education.
Ray, Mary and Tim Niebrugge Scholarship
Graduates of any high school located in Effingham County are eligible to apply for a scholarship for undergraduate or graduate study at any two or four-year college/university or technical school. The primary determinant for selection is financial need.
Roy Robson and Roma Jackson Nursing Scholarship
Established to provide educational scholarships to Effingham County students pursuing nursing degrees.
Thomas J. Epplin Health Profession Scholarship
The Thomas J. Epplin Health Profession Scholarship provides assistance to students seeking health profession careers. Students pursuing a minimum degree of Bachelor of Science in dentistry, medicine, optometry, pharmacy, physician assistant, or nursing may apply. The scholarship is open to seniors and graduates from St. Anthony High School (Effingham), Vandalia High School, and Pinckneyville High School.
How to Apply
Use the link below to access the common scholarship application.This application has three basic parts:
- A set of matching questions to determine which scholarships you are eligible. The matching questions are used to determine which scholarships you are eligible to apply for. These questions will also appear in the common application. Your responses will be hidden from evaluators.
- A common application with questions that you will answer once but will be used for all scholarships you are eligible for. Once you complete the matching questions, you will be given a selection of applications to choose from. Select all of the scholarships you wish to apply for, INCLUDING the common application. You must then complete the common application.
- A unique scholarship application that will have questions, reference requests and essay prompts specifically created for that scholarship. Once you have completed the common application, you must complete and submit each of the applications you choose in order to be eligible for each individual scholarship. Be sure to verify that each application has been signed and submitted by the deadline.
